Cashew Sauce/ Un-mac and cheese

Camera is fixed – well it wasn’t really broken after all – operator error oops!

I have been loving sauces lately and I found another that is certain to become a staple in our house (original recipe at ohsheglows).  This sauce is sort of like a cheese sauce but it is dairy free and it has some nice zing to it.

We began with this sauce on noodles (un mac and cheese).  The next day I had some on rice with veg.  Then later in the day I was dipping pretzels, tortilla chips and crackers in it (I couldn’t get enough!).  I think it was even better on the second day.

All you need is a blender or super food pro for this and dump and blend.  Can you tell I love to blend?

Un Cheese Sauce
3/4 cup raw cashews
1 cup non-dairy milk (you can use dairy milk if you want)
3 cloves garlic
1 Tbls lemon juice
1/4-1/2 cup nutritional yeast
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp mustard powder
1 tsp spike
1/2 tsp tumeric
1/2 tsp paprika

Blendy Blendy Blendy  and add more milk if you need it till lovely and creamy!!!!

these just looked pretty sitting on my countertop

never turn your back when cooking with a child – my little sous chef proceeded to put in twice as much mustard powder as we needed, lets just say that this first batch had quite a punch to it!
