Open House! What to serve? Cookie Dough Dip of Course!

I am so excited!!!  Today is finally our open house in my new office space.  I have been working in the new space for about 3 weeks but we are finally having a party!

My new space is so beautiful and I am very lucky to have two treatment rooms so that I can share the space with someone.  This is new for me, I have been on my own for 12 years, and let me tell you it is really fun to have another smiling face around!  I feel very lucky that I found an old colleague back in town who I am so happy to share with.  Ronnie Mae Eastling is a Certified Massage Therapist, who has also been practicing for over 10 years.  Ronnie and I met here in Duluth around 12 years ago, but then she took off for a warmer climate and ran a massage business in St. Croix (the island not the city!) for a few years.  Lucky for all of us in Duluth she came back.  The lure of getting back to family was strong and I am so glad!!

Also in my building is Jen Burns who has an Electrolysis business (almost ready for clients, just a few shelves and cabinets left to put together!).  Jen will also be having facials, waxing, and other terrific services!

Carolyn Haney is our other neighbor.  She runs a tutoring center for people with Developmental Disabilities, you can come down and find out more from her.

There are other businesses moving but so far we have only heard a bit about them but are feeling excited about what we have going on here!  Next door to the building you will find amazing gardens, with food for the cafe!  Honestly this space is something special!!

The really cool thing is that there are also apartments in the building.  We have been slowly meeting our residential neighbors and I am just thrilled.

I hope you can all come on down and meet all of these great folks – they will have their doors open for the open house as well (not the residents, just the businesses).

I was very torn on what food to make for the party.  Of course it is easiest to just wrangle a few friends in and make some brownies and cookies and things, but that just didn’t seem right for our kind of business!  I mean really, I talk about trying to eat well all the time, to serve sugary unhealthy food to my clients, family, and friends surely defeats the purpose, right?

So I turned to one of my favorite blogs,  for this amazing dip!  Yes! Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip!  But no added sugar (save the few mini chocolate chips)  here is a link to the recipe just in case you can’t make it to the party and taste it for yourselves.  Chocolate Covered Katie – dip recipe

I took some great photos of the process for you but I am having some stinky computer problems and they won’t upload.  Luckily there are gorgeous photos in the link to the recipe so check it out!

I hope to see you tonight!

Thanks for being a part of my journey!
