Quickie Breakfast – Chai and Banana Wrap

tip -use unsweetened milks and add your own sweetener,
 you will likely use a fraction of what is added to the sweetened

 Here is a quick post about one breakfast possibility for those busy mornings.  I really like to start my day with a warm beverage and I have rubbed off on my daughter.   Ever since she was tiny we would add lovely warming spices like cinnamon to her beverages and she still loves it.  We use whatever milk we have on hand (could be soy, almond, hemp, coconut) we like variety.  There is no caffeine (no black tea) in this kid friendly version of fast chai.

you may use a microwave (we don’t have one) I love my beautiful little sauce pan

Chai Spiced Milk
-1 cup milk (almond, soy, hemp, coconut, whatever you  have on hand)
-mix up ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, and any other lovely spices (nutmeg, cloves)
put in a pinch or 1/2 tsp (you will find your liking)
-Warm it up and serve with a little honey for sweetening if using unsweetened milk

my daughter loves hers “foamed”  we found this little gadget and now we have fancy chai lattes!
foam gives me a bad belly so I avoid it

straw is optional

quick breakfast part two – tortilla (whatever kind suits your nutritional needs)  smeared with any kind of nut butter,
 toss some cacao nibs and a banana on there and off I go!

 possible additions- raisins, other dried fruit, nuts, flax seed meal, yogurt – get creative!!
